Saxophonist Simone V and producer Gron will be releasing a fire Soulful amapiano track titled ‘Roadtrip’ on the 6th of May 2022 this Friday ‘Roadtrip’ was inspired by the exciting and memorable experience of going on a road trip with people you love. Whether it’s with friends, family or even with a stranger, road trips can be quite an amazing bonding experience that allows people to share their personalities and create memories together. ‘Roadtrip’ was inspired by such moments as the song was recorded right after Simone V herself had travelled from PMB with her family to meet producer and long-time friend, Gron in Johannesburg. The song expresses the energy and joy found within these moments and also contains a strong influence of Jazz and spirituality.
“I feel like this song will resonate with everyone in some way as it is quite an emotional song but at the same time it has a vibe that makes you want to dance.” Says Simon V
‘Roadtrip’ is the debut single for both Simone V and Gron. The pair are also working on an EP which will be titled Love Is Pure EP and will be released later this years.
