South Africa-based, multi-talented, Female House DJ and producer – Zandile Mazithulela, aka DJ Zandimaz, was born in a small township called Esigodini in Zimbabwe. She first stepped into the South African DJ scene in 2012 She got her first big break in 2013 on a popular youth DJ talent show that showcased the latest DJs at Cubana.
Over the years she has even grabbed the attention of some of Mzansi’s most respected DJs and artists such as Black Coffee, Nhlanhla Nciza, and Oskido. She has today become a Platinum Selling producer and DJ.
She is a two-time Home Coming Best Female DJ, became an opener for Oskido (Kalawa) and Black Coffee, and has been Busisiwa’s Road DJ. Nominee for Best Female DJ at the ASEA Awards SA in 2019 Zandimaz independently released her first single titled Emathandweni featuring Nokwazi on Friday 9 October 2020.
The has currently over 11 million views on YouTube in a few months, gaining an average of 1 million views each month Emathandweni has reached both Gold and Platinum status 6 months after its release and was Number 8 in the SABC 1 “Top Ten Songs of The Year” Category. Her second single titled “For Me” dropped in February 2021 featuring young upcoming artists from Zimbabwe.
Zandimaz officially started her own Record Label called Zandimaz Records and has signed 3 artists already. 3 Nominations for the South African Amapiano Music Awards Best Amapiano music video, Best Female DJ, and Song of the Year Zandimaz also released her first EP titled “We Move” in 2022, featuring talented artists such as Nhlanhla Nciza, Nutty O, Nobantu Vilakazi, Calvin, Leon Lee, Siyasanga Papu and many more.
