Tomorrow Mozambique’s Yaba Buluku Boyz return with amapiano record, “Wa Kula”

Following the success of the Yaba Buluku Boyz’s 2021 “Tell Somebody”, the Boyz return to the scene with “Wa Kula” on Friday, October 28! Keeping in line with their ethos of African unity through music, the record features Zimbabwean muso Jah Prayzah.

Over the past few months, the Yaba Buluku Boyz have been offline to pursue individual projects and complete their joint album. “Wa Kula” marks the return of the Boyz, bringing their pan-African vision of uniting African cultures through music back into perspective.

Picking up on their emphasis on international collaboration, Zimbabwe’s Jah Prayzah joins Yaba Buluku Boyz collaborators like Burna Boy, Zoro, Iyanya, DJ Consequence, and Yemi Alade. To stream “Wa Kula”,

ABOUT Founded in 2021, Yaba Buluku Boyz is an African music trio from Mozambique. The group is comprised by Dj Tarico, Nelson Tivane & Preck under the Geobek Standard for African Talent. In 2020, during the world’s COVID-19 lockdowns, the three Mozambican artists teamed up to create the smash hit “Yaba Buluku”. The record reached viral heights, such as 50 million users participating in the respective #YabaBuluku and #YabaBulukuChallenge hashtags on TikTok. The record reached #1 status on Spotify and Apple Music as well. Later, the success thereof ushered in a nod from two-time Grammy award-winning artist, Burna Boy, who featured on the remix.
